Dental Technology

What stands our practice apart is the extensive use most advanced dental technologies to treat our patients and to ensure excellent dental health with minimally invasive procedures and advanced diagnostics.

CEREC® One-Visit Crowns

CEREC® One-Visit Crowns dental technology allows you to enjoy gorgeous, durable, natural-looking smile restoration, without the wait. CEREC uses an advanced computerized scanning and milling system to creates long-lasting, natural-looking crowns, fillings and onlays in the same day, right in our office.
  • Preserves more of the natural structure of your teeth than traditional methods
  • Uses a unique adhesive bonding structure to seal the ceramic more securely than any other dental cement, with no risk of infection
  • Patient is presented with a 3D model so you can see what your tooth will look like. Once finalized, your customized crown or partial crown is carved from this porcelain block, and then placed on the prepared tooth
  • The crown is color-matched to your surrounding teeth for a nice and natural-looking blend. There are no messy impressions, no second visits and no inconvenient temporaries required

Waterlase® YSGG (Dental Laser)

With no heat and no contact, Waterlase® provides advanced dental care that is also comfortable and safe.
  • Heat and vibration are the causes of most of the pain associated with the drill. Since cutting the tooth with Waterlase Technology does not cause heat or vibration, there’s no pain, eliminating the need for anesthesia, in most cases.
  • Removes decay very precisely which allows you to keep a healthy tooth structure and have healthier teeth longer.
  • Effectively performs numerous soft tissue (gums) procedures with little or no bleeding and gives your dentist a new high-tech tool for many procedures that previously required referral to a specialist. Now you can have them performed during your scheduled appointment.
  • Avoids many common problems of the high speed drill, including cracks in the teeth from the vibration and rapid turning of the drill burrs which can weaken your teeth, creating future problems. The Waterlase™ Dental Laser decontaminates as it cuts reducing the chance for bacterial contamination.
  • Prepares your teeth in a way that maximizes the bonding of tooth colored fillings, allowing them to last longer.

INVISALIGN® – A Modern Approach to Straightening Teeth

Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of clear aligners created for you and only you. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
  • These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten.
  • Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you
  • You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. And unlike braces, these clear aligners can be removed while you eat and brush your teeth.
  • Achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life

Laser Periodontal Therapy (LANAP®)

Laser Periodontal Therapy (LANAP®) is an advanced dental laser technique used to treat periodontal (gum) disease and save many teeth that were previously considered hopeless. A laser light is used to gently remove harmful bacteria and diseased tissue from the gum pockets, allowing the body to heal naturally so that the gum pockets improve and the teeth become more stable.
  • Dramatically less invasive dental technology, yet highly effective alternative to cut and sew gum surgery
  • No cutting of the gum tissue with scalpel and no stitches means easy recovery with minimal bleeding
  • The LANAP Procedure is safe for patients with health concerns such as diabetes, HIV, hemophilia, or those taking medications such as Plavix or aspirin.
  • Preserves gum tissue instead of cutting it away
  • Reduces root exposure and sensitivity
  • LANAP gives better, longer-lasting results. In fact, 98% of LANAP treated patients remain stable after five years

CDR® (Computer Dental Radiography) Imaging

CDR® (Computer Dental Radiography) is a computerized imaging system that utilizes an electronic sensor instead of X-ray film. The sensors produce sharp and clear images that appear almost instantly on a computer screen.
  • Acquisition of CDR images uses up to 90% less radiation than conventional film X-rays
  • Detects early cavities or sub surface lesions that are undiagnosed by conventional examination methods
  • Improves dentist and patient confidence about treatment decisions, because dental X-Rays are the only way your dentist can see if tumors are growing in your jaws and beneath the surface of your gums.

DIAGNOdent® Diagnostic Laser

DIAGNOdent® diagnostic laser helps detect hidden dental decay at the earliest possible stage so that the most appropriate treatment can be designed for you.
  • No Scratching Probe: Painless and Accurate Laser Cavity Detection
  • Detects early cavities or sub surface lesions that are undiagnosed by conventional examination methods
  • Locates hidden decay, and with treatment stop the spread of disease before it destroys the tooth from within
  • Extremely accurate diagnostic aid. Proven to be over 90% accurate.
