Restore Your Smile with Custom-Designed Dentures

If you are struggling with significant tooth loss, dentures can restore form and function to your smile. At NY Center for Esthetic and Laser Dentistry in Manhattan, NY, we offer traditional dentures, partial dentures, and implant-supported dentures to address the unique dental needs of our patients. Using the latest technology and dental techniques, Dr. David J. Poiman can craft your custom prosthetic to complement your natural features and improve the appearance of your smile.
At our practice, we offer a variety of customized dentures to replace several missing teeth or an entire dental arch.

Your Options

To address extensive tooth loss, we offer three types of dentures, including traditional full and partial dentures, as well as implant-supported dentures.

Traditional Full Dentures

Traditional full dentures replace an entire arch of teeth. This removable denture has a plastic base and uses a gentle suction to keep the restoration in place. Typically, you will also use a dental adhesive. Our lab will manufacture your restoration to match your gum tissue for seamless results.

Traditional Partial Dentures

Like full restorations, traditional partial dentures are removable. However, this type of denture will replace only a portion of your dental arch. Therefore, if you still have some healthy teeth, a partial denture may be right for you. Your prosthetic will come with small, subtle metal clasps that can connect to remaining teeth.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are available as both full and partial restorations. They perform the same function as traditional dentures but are secured to permanent titanium dental implants. To qualify for these dentures, you must have sufficient jawbone to support implants. Dr. Poiman can evaluate your smile to determine whether you are a candidate. Additionally, he can perform your initial implant surgery and attach your restoration.

Ensure Lifelike Results

At NY Center for Esthetic and Laser Dentistry, we strive to help our patients achieve a beautiful smile and full dental function. During your consultation, we will conduct a thorough examination to determine which type of denture fits your unique dental needs. Dr. Poiman can take impressions, measurements, and digital images of your smile, which can be used to assist the dental lab in the manufacture of your restoration. We use only state-of-the-art material for realistic, natural-looking results that blend seamlessly with your smile.

The Benefits of Dentures

When you are missing teeth, it can be difficult to eat and speak properly. A severely limited diet can take a serious toll on your overall health. However, dentures can dramatically improve your quality of life, allowing you to chew comfortably and feel confident in your appearance. In addition, your prosthetic could restore the contours of your face if your facial structure has changed due to tooth loss.

Implant-supported dentures offer their own unique benefits. Similar to traditional dentures, these restorations can repair oral function. In addition, they provide a secure and stable option for patients worried about removable dentures slipping out of place. Dental implants also stimulate tissue growth. As such, they can protect the shape of your jaw, the proportions of your face, and, if applicable, the health of remaining teeth.
